Aquarius Marine Services BV was founded in June 2011 by Jan van der Sluis. (ex-captain Wijsmuller, inspector Netherlands Shipping Inspectorate and senior surveyor Lloyds’ Register). The purpose of Aquarius Marine Services (AMS) is to support the client by means of specialists knowledge and experience. The ultimate goal is a satisfied customer by offering broad services and delivery of good work. Pleasure in the job makes it work for itself!
Maritime regulations are changing rapidly, especially the international regulations are frequently being renewed and increased by the International Maritime Organisation (IMO). Further it is noticed that the knowledge and experience in the shipping industry is rapidly decreasing. It can be seen over the complete sector; on board of ships, but also within shipping companies and shipyards.
AMS can support the client by using specialists knowledge and experience in the field of maritime regulations. For example by inventorying regulations, checking drawings, inspecting or surveying ships, ISM & ISPS internal audits, newbuilding supervision, training of crew, superintendent service and contact with Classification societies, Flag states and PSC or a combination of services. Furthermore AMS delivers service as captain on board of offshore anchorhandling tugs. This could be as master, extra master or as captain advisor where handover of knowledge is the main purpose.
